1. Will this work on my network?
Net Spy Pro is designed to function on any TCP/IP network running
any version of Windows. If you are unsure if your network is compatible,
please visit our support section to contact us. Please include
specifics about your network's size and operating systems.
2. What are the system requirements for
Net Spy Pro?
To successfully run Net Spy Pro, your TCP-IP network
must consist of Pentium 100mhz or higher machines with 32MB of
ram. Pentium II 300mhz with 64MB is recommended. Net Spy Pro will
run on virtually any Windows software.
3. How do I install Net Spy Pro?
To deploy Net Spy Pro simply install the software on each PC in
your network and reboot. After each PC has rebooted it will be
available within the Net Spy Pro Network.
4. Does Retina-X Studios provide installation and usage
support?
Yes. When you order there will be step-by-step instructions.
However, if you need further assistance we will be here to answer
any questions you may have. In addition to our online documentation,
we also send step-by-step instructions via email upon ordering.
5. How do I connect to a PC?
Inside the Net Spy Pro control panel click "View Logs".
Then populate the list by clicking Refresh OR manually add IP's
by clicking Add. After clients are added to the list you can click
one to select it, then click "View Activities". You
can also connect to PC's using the Real Time Scan to perform different
real time functions.
6. How do I view multiple client screens at once?
First, bring up the NSP control panel on your workstation.
Then click Real-time View. Clicking "View Screens" will
show you the screens for the workstations in the list. You can
add or delete entries from this list as needed. It is separate
from the View Logs list.
7. How do I remote control a PC?
To use the remote control feature built into NSP, bring up the
NSP control panel on your workstation. Then click CONTROL PC.
Then select which PC you want to connect to and which mode you
would like. It will then connect to the remote PC.
8. Is the remote control feature fully stealth?
The remote control feature is mainly to be used as a tool for
administering the PC. Its not typically used for monitoring. Once
an admin connects to a client PC the client PC's screen will refresh
once. Then there is no other sign that the admin is connected
as long as the admin has chosen "View Only" option in
the remote control window.
9. How do change my Net Spy Pro password?
To change the password inside the admin control panel on a PC,
click "Password". Then enter your old password and new
password in both boxes and click "Apply".
10. How do I turn content filtering on?
To turn on the powerful filtering options on a PC, go to "Filtering"
inside its admin control panel. Enter your desired filtering requirements
using the instructions on each tab. Then click "Apply".
Then restart the monitoring session.
